Working with Coldwell Banker was one of the easiest experiences for renting homes in my life. I am from the US and I've lived all over the world and have had to rent homes in the US, Australia, Asia, Europe and South America. Repeatedly, it took 3 or 4 times for the agent to truly understand what I wanted. I'm not a picky person either, which had made it so frustrating. This time, renting in the Escazú area, I had a special situation where I needed to rent two homes close to each other with fairly narrow specifications and an even narrower budget. After a few conversations and back and forth on emails, with examples of what I was looking for, They were able to show me 5 homes for the first house...and on that first day, I was able to find exactly what I wanted. The second day we went out, for the second house, and the same thing happened again. They had an amazing knack for understanding my needs and showing me only the things that she knew I wanted to see. I highly recommend working with CB if you're looking to rent in this area. Don't be afraid to be too specific...because they get it!

I made a decision to sell my home in Oregon and move myself to Costa Rica. I did my research on the general area of the country where I wanted to live and through great good fortune I was connected to Lee Rodgers. Lee was a font of information ... not simply regarding the real estate in the area I wanted but so very much more.
We began working months before I left the US. I was very specific on what I wanted in a home and she began to send me hyperlinks to listings she thought were a good match. I would give her feedback on what I saw in those listings I liked and didn't like.
I landed in Costa Rica on a Friday and on Saturday morning she picked me up and off we went to look at properties. She had made all the appointments and I now own my home here and it is exactly what I wanted.
She knows real estate laws and procedures here and was advising other agents and even lawyers on proper steps when we ran into a glitch in the purchase of the property. I have no concerns that everything is just as it should be.
But that is not ALL she did. If you plan to buy property in Costa Rica you need not only a real estate agent but a lawyer. She recommended a good lawyer who has been wonderful. She gave me advice on what to bring and what to leave at home ... the list goes on and on. I can't say enough good things about Lee. I highly recommend her as your agent here in the Central Valley of Costa Rica.
